Smallish double room available in clean, comfortable terraced house just outside Wylam (10 miles west of Newcastle in Tyne Valley). Country setting on river so will need car. Newcastle is 20 mins drive. House has garden, aga, real fire and is surrounded by great paths and tracks for walking/cycling/running. Superb country pubs in village. Easy-going, attached live-in landlord, well-behaved cat.
Some of people that previously rented room, male and female, live in village and/or I'm still friends with - so references available.
If you work long hours and want a quiet place to stay during the week, or if you just like the simple country life - then this might be for you.
