A traditional British narrowboat in the heart of cambridge. It is a lovely place to live where you can truly appreciate the beauty of nature, you can see a heron fishing some mornings and lots of other wildlife.

located on CB5 RIVERSIDE just near elizabeth way bridge, behind tesco on newmarket road. It is extremely close to town, about 5 min walk to the town centre.
5 min walk from anglia russkin, 5 min walk from tesco on newmarket road. 10 min walk to asda.

this is perfect for a single person or close couple.

There is a kitchen area as you enter with worktops on both sides.
after this is the salon area, which is about 3m long. To give you an idea of size I had a desk and a double seat in this area. There is a fitted stereo system in this area which is mounted well out of the way in the ceiling.

The bedroom has storage underneath the bed, and a wardrobe area with hooks and rails at the end of the bed.

The bathroom has a toilet and a shower.

There is storage for a bike or two on the roof, and I have a lock box on the roof for storing coal and wood.

This boat is a good solid narrowboat built by a well respected traditional British narrowboat builder.

Most of this boat has been replaced over the last few years, all wiring and interior panels were replaced 5 years ago, and in the last two years it has had a brand new wood burner, gas cooker(BRAND BEW AND STILL UNUSED), gas water heater(JUST been refurbished), complete new gas fit out and much much more.

There are high powered conventional bulbs fitted on one side of the ceiling, and low light LED bulbs on the other, which is nice for winding down in the evenings.

This boat has 2 pairs of extremely secure and thick metal doors at either end.

The lady who was living on it is now unable to as she is with child.

Really cheap way to live, coal and bottled gas are extremely cheap-£21.50 a bottle for gas and coal is about £12-15 for 75kg.

Electricity is generated by running the engine to charge the batteries, or I can charge then for you off the boat for a little extra. The engine runs LEGALLY on RED DIESEL for charging the batteries to generate domestic power.

I will pay the river tax.

This boat is on a permanent mooring and is not to be moved, I will take care of filling the water tank and emptying the waste tank, this will not need to be done very often.
