I am a 42 year old professional female looking for a lodger to share my home with my teenage daughter and our small, placid dog.

The room is a large front facing double with floor to ceiling wardrobes along one wall. The house is a stone semi-detached cottage with high ceilings, with shared living room and dining kitchen.

We live close to Darton train station and within a five minute drive of junction 38 of the M1 - so a perfect place for commuters to Wakefield, Leeds and Sheffield. Also not far from Darton College, Darton Primary, Wellgate Primary and about a ten minute drive from Barnsley Hospital and town.

Darton is a small village on the edge of Barnsley, bordering Wakefield district. We have plenty of takeaways, restaurants and supermarkets within easy reach and we have a great bus service too.

Ideally you will be a professional person with a relaxed and laid back personality who is looking for a room in a relaxed and laid back home. We can sometimes be a little untidy in our own rooms, but tend to keep the kitchen and living room fairly tidy between us. We do have a lady in to do our ironing and she would probably be willing to do yours too, but we would pay her separately. The main bills will be included in the rent, with possible extra cost if you wanted anything like cable or sky in your room. We have cable TV in the living room and broadband with WiFi.
