There are excellent transport links - 5 min walk to Tulse Hill station for London Bridge and the Thameslink and 10 min to West Norwood for London Victoria. Buses 2, N2, 196, 68 168, 432, 322, 415 all stop just around the corner and it's only a 10 min ride to Brixton tube.
